Its knowledge comes from the rooms and meetings the meeting has access to. Every room collects transcripts and summaries. You ask by text or voice and get an answer with a source.

The application runs on servers in Germany, and service providers come only from the EU. Audio and video are not stored, transcripts only if your company approves it. There is no per-person evaluation and no sentiment analysis. This makes it easier for data protection and the works council to agree.
A meeting runs with or without AI. The person chairing the meeting keeps the floor.
You can send the AI out of the meeting at any time.

Klarto is a product of EppLab Studio, a software studio in Reutlingen. Karahan Osman founded Klarto because he experienced in his own daily work how knowledge gets lost in meetings and how AI tools fail at data protection and the works council.
Klarto is a young product. That is why we answer the question about size and data security openly in the FAQ.
That is not an obstacle. Office stays: you keep using Outlook, Word and Excel. In the EEA, Microsoft 365 is also available without Teams. If you switch to that, you save licence costs there and get meetings, chat and an AI with Klarto, included in the price and with data that does not go to the USA.
Klarto is built so that it can agree. There is no per-person evaluation and no sentiment analysis. Audio and video are not stored, transcripts only after approval by your company. The AI only speaks when the person chairing the meeting approves it. For Enterprise, there is a works council package.

Klarto is a young product of EppLab Studio, and we say so openly. Your transcripts belong to your company, and you stay in control of your data: on your request, we delete it in accordance with the GDPR. We do not store audio and video at all. In the Enterprise plan, a dedicated instance in Germany is available on request. The details are governed by the DPA and the terms of service.
